David M. Walker.
David M. Walker is an American who served as United States Comptroller General from 1998 to 2008, and is the founder and CEO of the Comeback America Initiative (TCAI) which ran from 2010 – 2013.
Walker is “the seventh Comptroller General of the United States and began his 15-year term when he took his oath of office on November 9, 1998.
As Comptroller General, Mr. Walker is the nation’s chief accountability officer and head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), a legislative branch agency founded in 1921.
In 2012, after Joe Lieberman left the senate, Hon.David Walker was considered a potential contender for the Connecticut U.S. Senate seat, but decided not to run. Similarly, before Americans Elect organization’s decision to not field a candidate in the 2012 election, he had been promoted as a potential candidate for president.
In October 29 2012, Walker endorsed Mitt Romney for president in an op-ed in the Washington Times. In 2013, Rep. Walter B. Jones (R-N.C.) voted for Walker for Speaker of the House and In 2017, Walker announced that he would explore running for Governor of Connecticut.
Education and Degrees.
David Walker holds a B.S. in accounting from Jacksonville University, a Senior Management in Government Certificate in public policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and several honorary doctorate degrees. Dave currently resides in Bridgeport, CT with his wife Mary.
Awards and Books.
David Walker has received several notable international and domestic leadership and public service awards. Walker was awarded the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ highest award. In October 19, 2008, he was awarded the Gold Medal Award of Distinction, and In 2010, David Walker was inducted into the Accounting Hall of Fame at The Ohio State University.
Hon.David Walker has further authored three (3) books, a frequent media commentator, and the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary I.O.U.S.A. To further crown all of this achievements, David Walker is also listed in the Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in America.

In 1998, he did: Delivering on the Promise: How to Attract, Manage and Retain Human Capital. Published by Free Press.

The Comeback America Initiative.
The comeback America Initiative is an organization set up by Hon.David Walker which ran between 2010 – 2013 to address federal fiscal issues and responsibility by engaging the public and assisting policy makers on a non-partisan basis to help solve America’s long-term fiscal challenges.
The Comeback America Initiative (CAI), was/is a non-partisan organization which sole aim is to promotes discussion around fiscal solutions to solve Americas fiscal challenges. Over the period of existence, the organisation released several reports with notable ones including: “Restoring Fiscal Sanity” Report, a plan to bring debt down to sustainable levels and the Fiscal IQ quiz.
Funding’s and Partnerships.
The comeback America was partnered with Peterson G foundation in a “Fix the Debt Campaign,” a campaign to slash earned benefit programs which includes: medicare and social security under the guise of fixing the nation’s “debt problem.
Prior to funding’s, in 2011, the Peterson G foundation granted the Comeback America Initiative $3.1M (Three million, one hundred thousand U.S dollars) to support a three (3) years term and address the federal fiscal issues. This amount was the major backbone of TCAII, which kept it going on with its normal ongoing operations.
